they're not so little anymore

Sometimes these 3 drive me and their Daddy crazy. There are moments they make us want to claw my eyes out, stick pencils in our ears and pull our hair out (OK, maybe this last part doesn't apply to Daddy), but we do love them very much. Everything we've done and not done since these little angels were born are because we put them first. We've never sacrificed anything so easily and been happier for it.

It's about time to get a picture of all 3 of them together to show how much everyone has grown, but Thing 1 was slightly anti-touchy-feely.

So here at the 2 that didn't mind the closeness.

Then it turned out, Thing 1 only minded the fact that her big brother was putting his arms around her. After I told her to stand beside Thing 2, she was fine.

Though I must say, none of them mind cuddling with each other, but sometimes they like it on their own terms.

We miss you, Daddy! I know it's only been 2 days, but we're always thinking of you. Curious George ran to the kitchen and to tell me that he heard someone make a noise that sounded like Daddy laughing. :)

it's never quiet 'round this here part

The 3 little ducklings try to color together for the first time. While the activity is new, the noise isn't.

It's apparently not bad to be stuck in doors if you have a twin

Daddy is home recuperating from the stomach bug, so he and the girls are home most of the day together. Now, I hope the following pictures doesn't speak of what he's been teaching the girls.

Thing 2 in pink, Thing 1 in blue.

Apparently, it's all good!

Actually, I must mention that all this merry-making came after a big poopie incident this morning. Thing 1 had a major blow out, and this in the heels of having a stomach bug. As you can imagine, it was nasty! Daddy and I had to hose her down in the tub. Too bad we didn't have a tub of bleach because we would have dunked Thing 1 in there and then dove in ourselves!

sometimes the twins have the best time on their own

Thing 2 on the left, Thing 1 on the right.

Teeth update: Thing 1's upper left molar is 1/2 out, and her the upper left is starting to poke through. The 2 lower molars are not far behind. All four of Thing 2's molars are also erupting.

Thing 1 now wears a pink enamel flower earring and Thing 2 wears a blue one (thanks Nana). With the color contrast, we're hoping Curious George would now be able to tell them apart (though it's difficult at times, since their hair is so long they cover their ears).

weekends are starting to become really fun

The little ducklings are starting to play with each other and it's starting to get quite loud in here. Big Brother is quite good with his sisters. He is conscientious about playing with the both of them and giving them turns. But the girls have other ideas. They both want the same thing and want them now! Case in point, they both want to push Big Brother on the Wiggles car. But Thing 2 is not as adept at taking steps yet so she gets left behind. And when we enforce turn-taking, the other screams her head off. Oi.

Matty's First Professional Hairtcut

On Saturday morning, Matty exclaimed that his hair wasn't cut by a barber. I asked him if he wanted to get it cut, and he said yes. (He's really long overdue. His sideburns hang lower than his ears.) So off we were to a hair cuttery. He did really well, though I had to assist in getting him to stop looking around. The hair cut wasn't bad, but I think Daddy and I do a better job. Seriously, don't you think he looks a-la-Spock with that bangs?

To show off his new do, I snapped a few photos and happen to catch him in a mood, as in the I-want-to-terrorize-my-sisters mood. Can't you see the terror in the girls' faces?

I think Katie has realized that big brother is up to no good, while Jojo enjoys the commotion.

At this point, Matty is starting to get in his sisters' nerves. Katie gets squeezed harder, while Jojo gets pushed off the chair. Matty is having a ball.

Don't you want to know exactly what is going in this boy's big head?

Victory!
(whatever it was that he's trying to do) Jojo has completely fallen off the chair, and Katie is still trying to get away. Poor girl.

Problem Solved!

I mentioned previously that I may have to split the girls up and put them in their own cribs very very soon because they are getting too big for one. Well, I've been stressing out about this. I want them to stay together as long as possible, because to separate them prematurely may cause them stress.

Well, it seems that they can stay together for a while longer because they have figured out a way to situate themselves nicely. Such smart little things, they are.

This is perfect! This gives them enough room from head to toe to stretch out, plus they are positioned in such a way that they don't smack each others faces and disturb each other.
