is there anything better than climbing on Daddy on a Sunday afternoon?

We think not. Especially when all Daddy wanted to do was snooze.

feeding twins is like feeding livestock

Please turn a blind eye to the mess, as Hurricane 3-Holy-Terrors just ravaged the place.

anything is possible

I want my children to know that anything is possible.

Halloween!

We did pretty good last night. We definitely made it to more houses than last year, mainly because the boy wanted to go go go! We had to leave our candy out the front door because we were out the whole night. Unfortunately, it didn't look like many kids came by. The wagon came in very handy for the our strawberry fairy and tulip fairy. Daddy and I just carried them to the front doors when Big Brother was ready to ring the bell.

Big Brother was Star Wars all the way. He had a Star Wars gun, which he got tired of holding and gave to his sisters. He also had the light saber with him, which turned out to be pretty useful. It made him very visible in the dark. In between houses, the fairies got busy poking and hitting each other with the light saber and Star Wars gun when Big Brother got tired of holding them.

We were all pooped by the time we came back home. Daddy and I wished we were like the other families who drove between houses. Those are smart parents!

Pre-costume attire. Look at those bellies!

Getting ready to head out!

It took many trips from the porch to the house (jackets? no jackets? flashlight? reflective tape? where are the treat buckets?), but we finally made it out.
They were all pretty tired by the time we got back. The Fairies were sleepy, Big Brother was also sleepy but too excited about the candies.

What are they looking at?

Is it too much for a mom to ask for one shot where they are all looking at the camera?

It's war at this point. The girls were just fascinated by the pretty little candies, but Big Brother seemed to think they were taking his. It didn't matter how many times we explained that they were not going to eat them!

it's all about redirection

I was upstairs trying to get the girls down for this first nap when I heard footsteps coming up. "Mommy, I fixed the crack on the walls!" the little boy said. Trying not to jump to conclusions, I didn't say anything and just waited for more information.

"Mommy, I fixed the crack!"

"What did you use?" I finally broke down.

"I used tape!"

Oh boy. By this time I'm trying to imagine chipped paint from the wall that sometimes happen when you rip scotch tape off. "I can't see it, M. Can you show me?"

"I'll show you, but don't spank me."

"OK". Me? Spank? Never! Ok, maybe sometimes, but just swat.

"Here! I took it off already."

Phew. I don't see anymore damage than was already on the wall. Rather than stop him from his newly found fascination with scotch tape, I told him it would be more fun to rip up paper and tape the pieces back together.

my kitchen drawer is so big, it can hold twins!

I was busy cooking dinner when I saw this. This is the one drawer I keep plastic containers in. It's baby proofed, but it broke. I've been letting them play with the drawer, but perhaps it's time to rethink it.

there were 2 little monkeys, jumping on the couch....

"one fell down and bumped her head. Momma called the doctor and the doctor said, "No more monkeys jumping on the [couch]!"

The little man just loves the story of the jumping monkeys. Thankfully, none of my 2 monkeys fell on from the couch this time.

They both have 8 teeth right now, and are getting ready to get molars. Thing 1 is a little further along and is pretty cranky. She woke up crying last night because of the pain.
