My daughter will turn 4 in April and my twins will turn 2 in March. Your girls are gorgeous!Momlissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10138108195368769713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7578547899515686338.post-12657576538396380512009-02-25T23:19:00.000-05:002009-02-25T23:19:00.000-05:00Hey, thanks for the shout out! No idea why it wouldn't be on your son's checks, though.

I don't know much about cooking with dried beans, so I didn't get very adventuresome, but I did pick up dried peas or dried black beans. I've made several versions of pea soup and have loved all of them. I'd never had it before. I can share some recipes with you, if you want.

The black beans, I have used in chili (we don't like kidney beans so I substitute black beans), tacos, and some recipe my mom sent me called "Mexibean Lasagna." It sounds ridiculous but it was really good!

Oh -- I have also used dried lentils for the first time recently -- can't remember if they are a WIC choice, but I used them in some vegetable soup to make it more filling. It was very good and they added a nice texture I liked.

Several people have told me about how you can freeze milk. I haven't tried it on purpose, although the milk in our spare fridge in our garage used to freeze, and it thawed with no problems.

I can't believe the nutritionist tried to give you more milk products for your twins' milk allergy.

Hang in there!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08385300459967135657noreply@blogger.com
